CNA Appreciation Day - October 16, 2008
The 9th Annual Certified Nursing Assistants Appreciation Day will be Thursday, October 16th, 2008. The event will be held at Lewisville United Methodist Church in Lewisville, NC.
This conference provides an opportunity for certified nursing assistants and caregivers to gain more knowledge and strengthen skills in working with older adults, in both paid and unpaid care giving roles. This one-day event will give participants a fresh perspective on working with different personalities and in group settings.
The guest speaker is Dot Hill, who will be presenting on "Appreciating Cultural Differences in Patient Care Services: CNA's - Do You Have What it Takes?"
Other sessions that day will focus on AIDS, Advance Directives, Assisting Persons with Disabilities, Body Mechanics, Guardianship, Personality Disorders, Resident's Rights, Sensitivity Training and Working with Families.
The registration cost is $20.00 and is due by October 6, 2008. Lunch and snacks are included in the registration fee.
5.75 CEUs will be awarded. You must be present for the entire event to receive credit. No partial credit given.
